My sister in law and I agreed, that these delicious treats are pretty much gourmet rice krispie treats! They're absolutely amazing! Hope you love them as much as my family does!
Reese's Rice Krispie Treats
10 cups rice krispies
18 oz bag of marshmallows (0r 2 small bags)
1/2 cup (1 cube) butter
1 bag mini reese's
1/4 cup light Karo Syrup
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Melt butter in large pot on low to medium heat, once melted, add in marshmallows and karo. Keep stirring until they're melted so it doesn't burn on the bottom. Once the marshmallows and butter are melted together, remove from heat, stir in the rice krispies. Then stir in 12-20 chopped up mini reese's and dump the rice krispies in to a lightly greased 9x13 pan (if you want thick treats, or you could use a cookie sheet instead). After you have it in the pan and all pressed down top with another 12-20 chopped mini reese's. Then melt the Peanut Butter (about 25 seconds in the microwave), pour the melted peanut butter into a sandwich size Ziploc bag. Cut off the tip of one of the corners and drizzle the peanut butter all over the treats. Then do the same thing with the chocolate chips (in 30 second increments in the microwave), pour into Ziploc bag, snip the corner and drizzle over the bars. Let sit for several hours, or refrigerate till cool or top has hardened some. Once the top has set, feel free to cut into squares and serve! Of course, the hardest part is letting them cool and set, I love just grabbing a fork and digging in to the melty goodness! Enjoy!
*I've forgotten to add in the karo syrup and it still tastes great!*
